Philanthropy

We take pride in participating in events/projects that help better our community. This is an important part of what we do. If there is a particular cause you are involved with, let us know and perhaps we can help!

Our Community

Gift of Life

Gift of Life works to increase awareness and match participants in the national bone marrow registry to those with blood cancer. Strongpoint Wealth Advisors lost Susan Church, a dedicated employee (and Peter’s mother), to a rare Leukemia in 2016. She was fortunate enough to easily find a match for a transplant during her treatment, but many aren’t as lucky. Strongpoint is active in raising money in Susan’s name to broaden the lifesaving bone marrow registry.

Montclair Kimberley Academy

Strongpoint Wealth Advisors sponsors the Laquan Majette Memorial Grant at Peter and Matt’s high school Alma Mater. Laquan was a personal friend and teammate of Peter’s that lost his life in his early 20’s. Two students with financial needs, demonstrating academic and community excellence are granted funds over the course of the year to cover ancillary costs, ranging from field trips to athletic equipment.

Alex's Lemonade Stand

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). In 2000, 4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of supporters across the country carrying on her legacy of hope. Northwestern Mutual, through the Northwestern Mutual Foundation, announced its new multi-year philanthropic program to fight pediatric cancer. Read more: Northwestern Mutual Fights Childhood Cancer. The financial security company has teamed up with two leading national nonprofit organizations focused on fighting childhood cancer and helping families, Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) and Starlight Children's Foundation™ (SCF). Through these partnerships, Northwestern Mutual will activate a range of programs and events in communities across the country. To learn more, visit: www.alexslemonade.org
